Athar Digital Menu ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Athar Digital Menu platform, including the website at menu.ninuva.io and the Athar Digital Menu iOS App Clip. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Information We Collect

• Device tokens — when you use the App Clip and allow notifications, we store your device push token to send you marketing messages from restaurants you have visited.
• Restaurant slug — we store which restaurant(s) you scanned so we can send relevant, location-specific notifications.
• Account information — for restaurant owners who sign up to the dashboard, we collect your name and email address via Clerk authentication.
• Usage data — anonymous analytics such as page views and device type are collected to help improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To send push notifications about restaurants you have visited (only with your permission).
• To trigger proximity lock screen reminders via Apple Wallet passes when you are near a restaurant.
• To provide restaurant owners with tools to manage their digital menus.
• To improve the performance and reliability of the platform.

4. Notifications

Push notifications are only sent with your explicit permission. You can revoke notification permissions at any time via iOS Settings → Notifications → Athar Digital Menu. Removing notifications does not delete your device token from our servers — to fully opt out, contact us at [email protected].

5. Apple Wallet

If you choose to save a restaurant pass to Apple Wallet, iOS may show a lock screen notification when you are near the restaurant's location. This is handled entirely by iOS and Apple Wallet — we do not track your location at any time.

6. Customer Data Collection & Advertising

• Customer information — restaurants using our platform may optionally collect your email address, phone number, and name when you visit their digital menu. This collection only happens with your explicit consent via an on-screen prompt.
• Advertising pixels — restaurant menu pages may include tracking scripts from Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Snapchat, and TikTok. These scripts allow the respective platforms to recognize you for advertising purposes. You can block these scripts using browser ad-blocking extensions.
• Remarketing — restaurants may use the data collected (email, phone) to create custom advertising audiences on social media platforms. Your data may be shared with these platforms in a hashed (encrypted) format for the purpose of showing you relevant ads.
• Opt-out — you can decline the data collection popup when it appears. To opt out of pixel tracking, use a browser ad blocker. To request deletion of your collected data, contact the restaurant directly or email us.

7. Data Sharing

We may share your personal data with restaurant owners who collected it for marketing purposes, and with social media advertising platforms (Meta, Snapchat, TikTok) in hashed format for custom audience targeting. Data may also be shared with infrastructure providers (Convex, Clerk, Vercel) solely to operate the service.

8. Data Retention

Device tokens are retained as long as you have used the App Clip. Restaurant owners can request deletion of all tokens for their restaurant. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Restaurant owners can delete their account and all associated data from the dashboard under Account Settings. For other requests, contact us at [email protected].

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
